Welcome! The new Makers Guild online platform helps connect Makers to one another and to buyers, clients and supporters.
FIRST STEP: To build awareness of your products or services, in any Maker field, the first step is to create a Directory Profile. This class is a way to learn how to create your online listing and begin connecting, attracting buyers, expanding your audience - and sharing what you love making!
SELECT YOUR DATE AND TIME using the orange button to register for the no-fee class.
Free core class is one hour of guided demonstration and support. Copy instructions below to prepare the text and images to bring to the class. A half hour of further tech support is offered following the core step-by-step, how-to class. Coming prepared is important in order to finish your profile during the class period.
GOAL: by the close of class, you will have a new online Profile listing in the Makers Directory and can become part of the active Gallery of Makers.
READY to GET STARTED?
Select your date and time using the orange button. Then go to sanjuanmakersguild.com and click on MAKERS HUB in top tool bar or menu and set up your access account. You can read Directory instructions there as well as those below.
COPY and SAVE THIS:
To be prepared 1) write up a bio about yourself and your work, we recommend keeping it under 250 words. Type it into a word document so you can copy and paste it right into your directory listing.
2) Select 3-6 images of your work and size them - in advance - to be under 512k in file size in order for the system to accept them.
3) Add any social media links to your word doc so you can create live links to your web site, store etc.
Be sure to ADD this event to your Calendar - see you soon!
